Choose the restaurant before the food
For current dine-in and takeout plans, start with What Da Chick in Watertown, at 1A Crawford Street. The branch page links to online ordering and published visiting information. Check the restaurant named on the ordering site before choosing a time or completing payment.
The Somerville branch, at 193 Broadway, is Coming Soon. Its future opening and service details should not be treated as a current pickup schedule. Using one brand name does not make the two addresses interchangeable; your order needs a serving location.
Build your plate around texture and sauce
The menu lets you compare What Da Chick Rice, Crispy Chicken Rice, Spicy Chick Rice, Roasted Chick Rice and Combo Chick Rice. Start with the texture you enjoy. Poached chicken and fried chicken bring different experiences; spicy seasoning and lime tamarind sauce change the flavor again.
Look through the dish description before adding sides or drinks. If you are choosing for someone else, ask about their preferences instead of assuming they share yours. Our menu guide is a useful starting point when the dish names are new to you.
Give takeout a clear handoff
Before submitting an online order, check the items, quantities, customer name and contact details. Read the pickup timing shown by the ordering provider. An order estimate is not a guarantee that every dish, change or future time is available; follow the confirmation you receive for that transaction.
When collecting food, have the order name or reference ready. If your plans change, contact the serving restaurant with those details. For Watertown, the published phone number is (617) 744-6336. A clear reference helps the team identify the order without making you describe the whole meal again.
When allergies are part of the order
Speak with the restaurant before ordering. Describe the actual restriction and ask about sauces, broth and shared preparation. Do not infer an allergy guarantee from a dish name or a customization field.
Use catering for the bigger plan
An office lunch or party has more moving parts than one pickup. Start on the catering page, where you choose dishes, quantities and chicken styles for each platter. The minimum food subtotal is $500 before taxes and fees, and requests must be placed at least seven calendar days ahead using Eastern Time.
Add the date, requested time, guest count, contact details, special instructions and pickup or delivery preference. Delivery is a request subject to restaurant confirmation. After you review and submit, the team checks availability and the final total and provides payment instructions. The booking is not automatically confirmed.
Check once more before you send
For a regular order, follow the ordering site’s confirmation process. For catering, read the branch, date and itemized summary in the review step. Check each platter’s chicken choices rather than relying only on the order total. If you selected two platters, both need the customization you intend.
Keep the confirmation or request reference where you can find it. If you need a change, use the serving location’s contact information and describe the change precisely. “Move pickup to this time” is easier to work with than a new order that silently duplicates the first.
Your questions, answered
Is a catering request the same as a confirmed order?
No. The restaurant reviews the request, confirms availability and final pricing, and supplies payment instructions. The order is confirmed after payment is verified.
Can I request delivery?
The catering form includes a delivery preference and address field. Availability, coverage and fees must be confirmed by the restaurant.
